Contact is the core part of car connector to complete the electrical connection function. Generally, the contact pair is composed of a positive contact and a negative contact, and the electrical connection is completed by inserting and closing the negative and positive contacts.
The car connector positive contact is a rigid part, and its shape is cylindrical (round pin), square cylindrical (square pin) or flat (insert piece). The positive contacts are generally made of brass and phosphor bronze. The female contact, namely the socket, is the key part of the contact pair. It relies on the elastic deformation of the elastic structure when it is inserted with the pin to produce elastic force and form close contact with the male contact to complete the connection. There are many types of jack structure, including cylinder type (split slot, necked), tuning fork type, cantilever beam type (longitudinal slot), folding type (longitudinal slot, 9-shaped), box type (square jack), hyperboloid spring jack and so on.
Car connector provides mechanical protection for the built-in insulating mounting plate and pin, and provides alignment when the plug and socket are inserted, so as to fix the connector to the equipment.
Insulator, also known as car connector base or insert, is used to arrange the contacts according to the required position and spacing, and ensure the insulation performance between the contacts and between the contacts and the shell. Good insulation resistance, voltage resistance and processability are the basic requirements for selecting insulating materials to be processed into insulators.
Accessories are divided into structural accessories and installation accessories. Structural accessories such as snap ring, positioning key, positioning pin, guide pin, connecting ring, cable clamp, sealing ring, gasket, etc. Install accessories such as screws, nuts, screws, spring coils, etc. Most of the accessories are standard parts and general parts.
