Resistance welding requires no filler metal, high productivity, small deformation of the weldment, and easy automation. To prevent arcing and wrought metal on the contact surface, pressure should always be applied when welding. During resistance welding, the contact surfaces of the workpieces to be welded are crucial for obtaining consistent weld quality.

After the continuous improvement of the welding process and the limitation of the thermal influence in the molding process, the application in actual production is also increasing. Laser welding and industrial robots are gradually becoming the main force of the automatic power battery module production line.
